TESTING AND EVALUATION |
The office provides affordable evaluations to determine a child's need for special learning strategies -- either within the traditional school setting or in an alternative educational environment. |
A child you know could be helped by special education if he or she... |

Is Disorganized? Often says, "Why am I so stupid!" |
Doesn't turn in Homework? Doesn't pay attention? |
Three purposes for our Testing services: - For possible enrollment in our programs - To aid parents with their children's education progress - To aid teachers with an education plan |
Psycho-educational assessment may include: personal interviews, testing for intellectual functioning and academic achievement. We also screen for Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, language impairment, Central Auditory Processing Disorder and other conditions for which referrals can be made. Testing is available for elementary students from age 6. The waiting period for testing varies depending upon the number of applicants, their ages and current availability of openings. Prospective students for placement in one of our schools or learning centers must be evaluated at the Catholic Guidance Center, by appointment. Our evaluations are primarily performed by Janet Nemec, Ph.D. |
